For sailings that depart from and return to the same U.S. port, you only need proof of citizenship and a government issued photo I.D. or a valid driver's license with a photo. Proof of Citizenship examples include: an original or state certified copy of a birth certificate, a valid or recently expired passport, a U.S. passport card, Enhanced Driver's License, certificate of naturalization, certificate of citizenship, or a report of your birth abroad.
For open-jaw sailings (cruises that depart from one U.S. port and return to a different U.S. port), you are required to carry a valid passport, U.S. passport card or Enhanced Drivers License, as well as have in your possession all relative visas that pertain to your travel itinerary. Permanent residents of the U.S. are required to carry their valid ARC cards for boarding AND passport from their country of citizenship, if available.
Note: We strongly recommend that all guests travel with a valid passport during their cruise. If you miss your ship at its scheduled U.S. departure port and need to travel outside the U.S. to meet your ship, or should you unexpectedly need to depart the ship from a foreign port prior to the end of sailing, a passport would be required to leave or re-enter the U.S. by air.
The Walt Disney Company plans to expand its successful cruise business by adding two new ocean liners. Scheduled to launch in 2011 and 2012, the ships will more than double the passenger capacity for Disney Cruise Line® to meet the sustained demand for Disney's family cruise vacations.
The new 122,000-ton cruise liners will be two decks taller than the existing 83,000-ton ships, the Disney Magic® and the Disney Wonder®. Each ship will have 1,250 staterooms. Specific design plans and itineraries for the yet-unnamed ships are still in development and will be unveiled at a later date.
The Disney Magic is scheduled to sail 12 consecutive seven-night cruise vacations from the Port of Los Angeles to Mexican Riviera ports of Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.
In addition to the 12 Mexican Riviera cruises, Disney Cruise Line will also offer two 15-night repositioning cruises through the Panama Canal. The Disney Magic will depart Port Canaveral and head west on May 10, 2008, with the return cruise to Florida scheduled for Aug. 17, 2008.
This marks the second time the 2,700 passenger ship has sailed from the Port of Los Angeles, giving you another opportunity to sail this popular itinerary and providing West Coast residents with a prime opportunity to experience a Disney Cruise Line vacation sailing out of the Port of Los Angeles.
